The Nigeria country programme these days focuses on agglomeration health and human immunodeficiency virus (HIV), governance and gender.

CHRISTIAN AID NIGERIA RECRUITMENT 2014

Christian Aid is currently invites from suitable qualified candidates to fill the vacancy of Programme Officer (Malaria) Community Health and HIV, Nigeria. The successful candidates will be responsible for supporting and managing Christian Aid partnerships and programmes as well as the effective disbursement of funds to Christian Aid partners.  You will provide technical support to partners to develop organisational plans; providing support in designing effective malaria programmes.

EDUCATION QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
  • Candidates must have degree in international development/public health related subject.
  • Candidates must have at least five years’ experience in community health with significant experience in implementing and / or managing community-based malaria interventions.
  • Candidates should have extensive knowledge of the national response to Malaria in Nigeria
  • Candidates should have at least five years’ experience in Malaria intervention programmes in Nigeria (Extensive experience in community based Malaria response will be an added advantage)
  • Candidates should have significant experi11111111ence in working with local partner organisations
  • Candidates should have knowledge and competency in gender-sensitive programming and should have experience of managing institutional donor-funded projects and excellent report writing skills
  • Candidate should have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively represent Christian Aid at national, state and local levels
  • Candidates should have strong communication skills (verbal and written)
