NIGERIAN ARMY DIRECT SHORT SERVICE COMMISSION (DSSC) RECRUITMENT 2014/15

Nigerian Army has issued an advertisement for recruitment of Direct Short Service Commission (DSSC) officer position. CORPS AND SERVICES

A. Nigerian Army Corps of Supply and Transport: Candidates must be minimum Bsc (Second Class Lower) degree or HND (Lower Credit) in Hotel and Catering Management.

B. Nigerian Army Medical Corps: General Duty Medical/Dental Officers: Candidates must be MBBS/BDS and equivalent with not more than 5 years post qualification experience. Candidates must be fully registered with the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria.
  • General Pharmacists: Candidates must be B Pharm and registered with PCN.
  • Dental Technologists and Dental Therapists: Candidates must be minimum BSc (Second Class Lower) degree or HND (Lower Credit) in Dental Technology and Dental Therapy. You must be registered with relevant professional bodies.
  • General Nurses and Midwives: Candidates must be RN/M or minimum of BSc (Second Class Lower) degree in Nursing with full registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria.
  • Epidemiologist/Health Statistics: Candidates must be minimum BSc (Second Class Lower) degree in either Medical Statistics or Epidemiology.
  • Mental Health and Psychology: Candidates must be minimum BSc (Second Class Lower) degree in either Mental Health or Clinical Psychology.
  • Human Nutritionist: Candidates must be minimum BSc (Second Class Lower) degree in Nutrition.
  • Medical Imaging Scientist/Radiographers: Candidates must be minimum BSc (Second Class Lower) degree in Imaging Science or Radiography.
  • Medical Laboratory Scientists: Candidates must be Bachelor of Medical Laboratory Science (BMLS)/AIMLS/AIMLT degree with minimum (Second Class lower).
  • Optometrist: Candidates must be Doctor of Optometry (D. Optometry) degree and must be registered with the appropriate professional body.


ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
  1. Candidate should be a Nigerian as defined in the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
  2. You should be male or female between the ages of 22 and 35 years for both serving personnel and civilians.
  3. Applicants must be medically and physically fit.
  4. Measure not less than 1.68m (for male) and 1.65m (for female) in height.
  5. Applicants must not have been convicted by any court of law.
  6. Applicants must be a minimum of first degree of not less than Second Class Lower Division from a recognized University or HND from a recognized Polytechnic of not less than Lower Credit.
  7. Applicants (less serving members of the Armed Forces) must be completed the NYSC Scheme or provide proof of exemption as the case may be.
  8. Candidates must be Graduates with registrable professional qualifications and must be duly registered by relevant bodies recognized by Nigerian Laws at the commencement of cadet training.
  9. Candidates must be valid birth certificate endorsed by the National Population Commission, Hospital or Local Government Council or valid age declaration.
  10. Candidates must be a valid certificate of state of origin.
  11. Candidates must submit a letter of Attestation from their former institutions.
  12. Only academic credentials obtained from 2004 to date will be accepted.
HOW TO APPLY?
Obtain a PayChoice PIN Code from any branch of First Bank nationwide upon the payment of N2,500.00 Application Fee to the designated cashier with effect from 14 May 2014.

Logon to www.nigerianarmyms.org; click on 'Online Application'; enter basic details as requested alongside the PIN Code; select 'Direct Short Service Commission (DSSC)'; click 'Register Now' to validate your PIN; on successful validation, you will be redirected to the login page; login with your Username and Password to begin filling the forms, upload documents and passport.

Print Out:
Applicants are to complete the form online and upload all required documents stated in the general instructions. Applicants must print out their online generated photo-card on completion of their application. Successful applicants are required to present their printed photo-cards to the selection board during the interview.
